Yesterday on Gothamist (one of my favorite blogs about all things New York-related), they posted this video about bed bugs. Well, maybe not so much about bed bugs, but rather shots of the damage the microscopic insects unleash onto an apartment (or dorm room, if you lived where I did last semester).
But the main reason I’m posting this is because of the song that’s been played over the footage: a cover of the Band’s “The Shape I’m In.” According to one of the video’s comments, the song is sung by Samantha Leigh, who makes the music sound more “jaunty,” to use Gothamist’s word, than the Band’s version. No matter the case, it’s a perfect choice.
